After a gorgeous stay at Woodstock Way, I asked co-owner Ryan Giuliani a few more questions to get more insights about building a hotel, his thoughts on living in the Catskills region, and the hotels that inspired Woodstock Way.
No longer just the hippie haven famous for the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival, the little town of Woodstock in upstate New York has turned into a popular weekend destination for city dwellers and beyond. Woodstock Way Hotel beautifully brings together the town’s history with its modern-day character in an intimate, well-appointed property.
Flemings Mayfair is not only one of the oldest hotels in London, with a history dating back to 1851, but it is also one of the city’s rare privately owned hotels with it being in the same family for over 40 years now. The building itself is even older - actually buildings, plural. The hotel is made up of 13 Georgian Townhouses circa 1731 and lest you think the hotel must be stuffy and traditional, it’s not.
